VOD on demand streaming to bus passengers can be a lucrative business for operators because it may catch hundreds of thousands of eyeballs every day.
To allow operators to invest into this exciting business, Telelynx introduces an advanced VOD System for Bus, called VBS, which allows bus passengers to access video or music on demand through their smart phones or tablets. This product line will replace the old TBS product line, introduced in 2017, in order to take advantage of the state- of- the- art technologies.
As WiFi streaming is utilised in this technology and thus seatback monitors are not required, this results in tremendous amount of cost saving for operators. Considered as a killer application by many is that operators can run advertisement to generate lucrative, recurring income every day.
