Telelynx deployed a turn-key digital terrestrial TV (DTT) system in Eastern Africa

Telelynx deployed a turn-key digital terrestrial TV (DTT) system based on DVB-T2 technology for an Eastern African company, ASAL24 TV.  Telelynx offers end-to-end system design,  manufacturing, delivery, installation and training for this exciting project. This 140 channel system (20 HD and 120 SD) takes only six frequencies using our high- compression ratio encoder and transcoder technology.  This turn-key system includes six transmitters with adjacent channel rejection filter, an 8-panel antenna system, satellite IRDs, HD encoders, SD encoders & IP transcoders, LynxCrypt CAS system, SMS, DVB-T2 HD/SD STB, and subscriber outdoor antenna.  “ We select Telelynx as our partner for our DTT project because of their wide experience and exceptional performance –to-price ratio”, said Mr. Mohamed Hersi, Chairman of the ASAL24 TV.

This system also takes an upgrade to include AddTV sub-system, which is an innovative advertising solution developed by Telelynx.  This system enables ASAL24 TV to broadcast logo or icon to set-top boxes to generate new revenue stream.  

Telelynx also received a Certificate of Appreciation from Mr. Abdishakur Darwish, Managing Director of ASAL24 TV, with citation “ Appreciation of your valuable contribution to the successful completion of ASAL24 TV project.  This project is an enduring example of successful collaboration between Telelynx and ASAL24 TV”.
